Tech 21 Richie Kotzen RK5 Signature Fly Rig

RK5 SECTIONS AND FEATURES
• SansAmp tube amplifier emulator, is pre-voiced for clean tones. It includes 3-band active EQ, Level,
and Drive to adjust the overall amount of gain and overdrive.
• Reverb, within the SansAmp section, is based upon the Boost RVB pedal. It emulates the rich ambiances of a vintage spring reverb without clattery pings, canyons of doom, or other annoying artifacts.
• OMG overdrive, based upon Richie’s Signature OMG pedal, brings in the organic distortion of single power tube Class A amplifiers, but with a tighter, quicker and snappier response. Includes Level, Tone and Drive controls.
• Boost, within the OMG section, kicks in up to 21dB of pre-amp gain. It can be used independently to
boost the SansAmp and/or DLA functions, as well as on its own to boost the gain of your amp.
• DLA is based upon the Boost DLA pedal. It is voiced to give you the sounds of a vintage tape echo
and features Level, Time, Repeats, and Drift, which adds a random element to the modulation for authentic textures. A dedicated Tap Tempo switch makes it super simple to just tap in the delay tempo you want during your performance.
• All analog signal path; reverb and delay are mixed in parallel.
• All metal housing.
• Metal footswitches and jacks.
• 1/4-inch high-impedance input.
• 1/4-inch low impedance output.
• Silent-switching, custom footswitch actuators.
• Utilizes included “auto-switching” 12V DC power supply. Self-adjusts to 100V-240V. It can be used anywhere in the world with the proper plug/travel adapter for the host country.

Wojtek Justyna Tree... Oh!? - Scofield meets OZ Noy?

Support Wojtek on INDIEGOGO.

“Definitely Something” is bound to take the listener on a refreshing musical journey...

In my lifetime I have been lucky enough to experience many different cultures, customs and ways of life. I have lived abroad for most of my life; I was born in Poland, grew up in Canada and currently reside in The Netherlands. These international experiences made me feel comfortable in different environments, helped me not to see boundaries and always keep an open mind. All this has influenced and can be heard in my music. Although I am classically schooled and studied Jazz for many years I have always been open to all music. Blues, Funk, Hip-Hop, Rock and Pop have always been on heavy rotation on my iPod and have all left an equal mark on my musical personality. The colorful fusion of the different genres is the essence of the Wojtek Justyna Tree… Oh!? album Definitely Something” that is meant to take the listener on a musical journey.

No more Tribal Tech!

'Willis and I have decided not to continue with Tribal Tech. There are many reasons, but here are a few of mine.

I find it difficult to work on music when band members live in other countries. It’s a lot of work sending files back and forth, and there’s an unbelievable amount of post-production needed after the basic tracks are done. The recording budgets are low enough with a trio - I can no longer justify spending that amount of time for the same budget with a quartet.

It’s a similar situation with touring. I have a family to support and thankfully I’m making good money with my trio and HBC. Nothing against keyboard players, but I’m having a great time writing instrumental music for guitar and I want to put all my attention on that path because it’s more challenging as a guitarist and composer. I still hope to play with Deron Johnson in LA, and also with Steve Taviglione, two of my favorite musicians.

Thanks to all the fans who supported Tribal Tech!'

Scott Jones Fm FUNK (Tribal Tech loop) 2

VIDEO TRAILER VIEWERS.
Go to PLAYLISTS and select
LINEAR CONCEPT ARCHIVES.

About this clip: SHORT CLIP. DIFFERENT TAKE. SAME LOOP as #1 in this series. Just working out some ideas over a looped backing track (for personal practice purposes and NOT for sale). Unedited footage archiving linear concepts. To find new ideas and reinforce existing ones, I often do "stream-of-consciousness", extended lines with little or no phrasing. Though at times, rhythmic groupings and choices of subdivisions are explored. I use all kinds of picking approaches but primarily hybrid picking seems to be my natural default. The harmonic framework is Fm (Dorian), from which I extend, and stretch, and over which I superimpose tension through a balance of resolution within the inside framework, and altered, tense, outside concepts, based on a chromatic approach and manipulation of 1/2 step movement of simpler, inside structures like intervals and triads, diatonic modes and melodic minor modes, harmonic minor modes; and symmetrical scale structures like half-whole and whole-half diminished, and whole tone. Within those and other scale structures, half step movement is introduced between the whole step blocks that occur throughout. Half step movement is also used with triads and dyads in ascending and descending fashion, often between "like" shapes that occur within the chosen harmonic framework. Chord tones are often encircled above and below prior to resolution and can be linked by doing so to a series of chord tones. Not perfect, but an archive. ALL improvised. I tried to keep my ugly mug out of frame, but I apologize for the brief moments of my face in frame that you might encounter.

Richard Hallebeek jams with Dweezil Zappa on 'Zomby Woof'

Dweezil's pedalboard

Richard Hallebeek & Dweezil Zappa
Dweezil invited me to join him onstage for Zappa Plays Zappa in De Melkweg, Amsterdam, nov. 9th, 2013. The place was packed ..we played 'Zomby Woof' and had a fun jam together. Afterwards, Dweezil was kind enough to send me a great quality audio recording from the mixing board. I mixed that audio with some of the video material that was provided by people who attended the concert...so now you too, can get a glimpse of what went down that evening ;-)
I had a completely awesome time playing with such a tight group of musicians and jamming with Dweezil!

An Evening of Jazz with John Pisano & Anthony Wilson: Good Bait

Rudy's Music & Eastman Guitars present "An Evening of Jazz with John Pisano and Anthony Wilson."

Though he's best known as a sideman to the greats, John Pisano came and showed a dazzled crowd that he can do more than accompany a great song; he can transform it with his marvelously fluid leads and punctuated chords. For this performance he played alongside Anthony Wilson, who also played beautifully.

The night was billed as a duet, but it should be considered a quartet instead. The Eastman guitars that accompanied the two men stood out as marvelous examples of how fine lutherie can transform the musician just as much as a guitarist can transform his instrument.

The Rudy's Music Stop family is truly grateful for having two wonderful musicians and such a wonderful guitar company
in our SoHo Store.

This is the second video of this series, so please subscribe if you want to see more great performances from this night.

Guitar lesson from Sylvain Luc!!

One of the best guitar players in the world. I hope you can follow the conversation.
Shaort legato lesson and bass playing on guitar.
